Join a one-hour guided tour of Huis St Jan and discover the fascinating history and secrets of this remarkable house.
Huis St Jan was built at the beginning of the 15th century by the wine merchants guild of Bruges. As early as around 1290, a monk named Jacob van Maerlant lived on this site, where he created the first translation of the Bible from Latin into Flemish: the Rijmbijbel. In 1468, the wedding of Charles the Bold and Margaret of York took place in the great hall of Huis St Jan.
The guided tours are offered in Dutch, English, and French.
