Re-live the heydays of the Zwin area!
Join us on a one-of-a-kind cycling tour and at the extraordinary exhibition in the Zwin Nature Park. With the help of virtual reality (VR), we are going to show you images of the medieval times that have never been seen before. These images are based on innovative archaeological research, conducted by the University of Ghent. Ports, such as Sluis, Monnikerede, Hoeke, Damme and Bruges, used to be the biggest ports of Europe, until the Zwin channel silted up and the ports of Zwin disappeared. In 2021 old stories will come alive with the use of innovative technology. This project has grown into an international collaboration between Flanders and The Netherlands.
